Dead Space 3 - "Take Down The Terror" Launch Trailer

It's all been a pack of lies

While it may look and play very similarly to its first two installments, Dead Space 3 is a far cry from what the series used to be. Bringing AAA action and co-op to the forefront of the features, today's Isaac is a much different man from when he first stepped into the spotlight.

Dead Space, like many games these days, are looking to move more copies with every title that is launched. This trailer, showing a man on a mission to destroy evil rather than escaping it will hopefully create some interest among gamers that have never tried the series out. Using a Phil Collins song in the trailer doesn't hurt either.

Injustice: Gods Among Us - Lex Luthor Trailer

We all knew this would happen eventually

We all knew it would happen. Batman finally made a play at Wonder Woman and now Superman is starting a war over it. Okay, that's not totally true, but something has all of these super hero's tights up in a bunch. Injustice is going to be a mother of a fighting game, pitting the greatest heros (and anti-heros) the world has ever seen against each other. And don't be mistaken, this title won't carry the same tone as DC vs Mortal Kombat, there are some serious dark energies at force. I just want to beat the crap out of everyone as the Flash.

Oh yeah, I guess we get to play as Lex Luthor in a mech suit. That's pretty cool too.

StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm - "Opening Cinematic"

Y U mad Kerrigan?

While I was never any good at Starcraft (read: I had other things to do with my life); I could always respect those guys that were capable of jumping around the screen like a maniac controlling all of their assets. Taking place two years after the events of Wings of Liberty, the focus will rest on Kerrigan attempting to take over the swarm. This means there will be Zerg aplenty in the campaign missions. But let's be real, what noob plays the campaign?

Halo 4 - Spartan Ops Episodes 6-10 Trailer

Soap Opera fresh, Spartan approved

One of the largest differences I noticed in Halo 4 from its Bungie predecessors was a heavier reliance on dialogue and quality of cutscenes. I'm not sure if Master Chief spoke as much through the first three Halos as he did in this one.

This brings us to Spartan Ops, 343's attempt at making Halo as dramatic as possible.  The episodes, which are done as well as the cutscenes in the main campaign, show us a Requiem 6 months after the events of Halo 4. The Covenant are still active on the Forerunner planet, and you are a part of a Spartan team deployed to clean up the mess.

All of the missions are short; maybe 20 minutes if you take your time/die a lot on Heroic and all have different objectives that are story driven from the episodes. It's pretty cool stuff, and it's totally free if you have Halo 4. If you're looking to refresh your love for Halo with some friends or alone, go check out Spartan Ops.

DmC: Devil May Cry - Launch Trailer

I want to play it. I don't know why.

That wasn't sarcasm up there. I literally have no idea what happened in that launch trailer. But I was able to absorb the fact that you, as Dante (circa teenage angst years, I assume Nirvana is involved) are in fact half angel and half demon, and are the only thing that can kill whatever is going to destroy the universe. Like I said, only a little bit of this stuck the first time around.

Anyhow, DmC isn't pulling terrible scores and was a ton of fun to pick up at E3. If you're looking for some steampunk button mashing ridiculousness then consider picking this teeny heartthrob up.

Gran Turismo 5 - 2014 Corvette Stingray Trailer

Car porn at its finest

The sub title says it all: electronic beats with a car that looks THAT good on a video game, and you have yourself one fine adult movie-related pun. But damn, the 'Vette is looking good on the PS3. Remember, this car comes with just a short download time, no other cost to you. Get it while the going is good, maybe this is an excuse to pick up the old steering wheel.

Cyberpunk 2077 - Debut Trailer

Wrist Scythes. That is all.

Would you have guessed that you were looking at a trailer for an RPG while watching? Well if you did, then you get a gold star. Anyhow, this was a breathtakingly mysterious look into the future (2077 to be exact) where people are getting murdered by fembots with scythes for wrists. Needless to say, I'm intrigued and you probably should be as well.

If you want to learn more about Cyberpunk 2077, here's the official press release from CD Projekt Red themselves:

The world of Cyberpunk 2077 presents a grim vision of the future. Tech advancement went hand in hand with the decay of society. Body augmentations invented to serve society simply multiplied the problems, and sometimes lead to mayhem on the streets. New inventions led to addictions and poverty became an even larger problem.
In Cyberpunk 2077, the player will be thrown into a dark future. The metropolis of Night City is a stage set to tell the tale of one individual, raised on the streets, who tries to lift himself up from the gutter and find a way to survive amongst boostergangs and megacorporations in a city of filth and sin. Drugs, violence, poverty and exclusion haven’t disappeared by 2077, as people stayed they were for centuries – greedy, closed-minded and weak. But not only ghosts of the past trouble mankind, but new issues have appeared. Psychos go on rampages and the streets are filled with junkies addicted to a new form of entertainment – the braindance, a cheap way to experience the emotions and stimuli of someone else, someone living a more exciting life.
Braindances are digital recordings of a person’s experience. The viewer can stream a braindance directly into his neural system via special brain augmentations, called a BD player. Braindances allow the viewer to experience all brain processes registered, including emotions, muscle movements and all stimuli perceived by the recording person.
The range of themes of these recordings varies from simple braindances made by megacorporations, which e.g. allow the viewer to feel the full experience of an explorer with all its thrills, sweats, smells, views, sounds and the real feeling of curiosity that pushes men to go beyond the horizon against fear and physical weakness. But there are also more controversial sides of braindance, because some recordings are created illegally in the underground. Entering the mind of a serial killer means not only seeing the monstrosity he performs, but also living his lust to kill and fulfillment.
You haven’t experienced the latest New Hollywood recording? You’re nobody! The streets live with braindances, everyone just got crazy and wants to be a part of this new entertainment fad. Some people push it even too far and they cannot stop living other people’s lives.  If you’re not linked to a braindance right now, you are probably discussing what happened to you during your last session. Of course, just like every great new cultural movement, BDs have people who criticize them. Just watchthese two guys arguing about this phenomena.
This is the world of 2077. The gap between high and low is bigger than ever. Drugs, violence, braindance, psychos on the loose… Will you be able to function in this defunct society or end up a BD-junky with nothing left, set aside like garbage - still living someone’s else life –not aware of what’s going on around you?  Whether you like it or not - this is the age of braindance decadence; this is Cyberpunk 2077.

The Sims 3: University Life - Announcement Trailer

toga... toGA... TOGA! TOGA!

I cannot tell you how many years I've been waiting for this to happen. Mostly because I'm really embarrassed by the answer. Anyhow, I just saw "experimentation", beer pong, and a keg stand before the trailer was halfway over. Sold and sold. University was one of the best expansions of the second Sims, and it seems as though it will have a solid return to the most current title.

Pokemon X & Pokemon Y - Debut Trailer

IN 3-D!!

Let's get the basic stuff out of the way. This is Pokemon. You catch them, train them, and battle with them too many times to count. The formula hasn't changed, it will never change, and we should all just accept that fact now.

But let's focus on the new: Holy 3-D landscape, Pikachu! It's honestly about time they made the battles look more like Pokemon Stadium, but I have to say the three dimensional landscapes were impressive. Not impressive in the sense that they set a new standard for handheld graphics, but in the sense of never really imagining that they would ever do something like that. I guess Nintendo is really trying to catch up with the times.

SNOW DAY! SNOW DAY!

For all of you people who made the obvious New Years Resolution to play more video games, I present a public service announcement. Borderlands 2 - "Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt" Trailer

Mustaches!? Bloddy Brilliant

Okay, this one's a little bit late, but is worth showing as the first trailer of the new year. If you liked Borderlands 2 (you should have) and are itching to see a Pandora free of some Handsome hands, dive head first into Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt". A new continent to explore will surely bring more awesome guns, and I can't wait to use them on those Jack lookalikes. Fire away, vault hunters.
